National French Fry Day 2023 is on Thursday, July 13.

To get into the “holiday” spirit, several chains and franchises are offering free food and deals on Thursday.

Here are some of the deals and freebies you can get on and around July 13:


Burger King: Get free fries every single week this year for those who sign up for the Royal Perks rewards club. Offer valid only with a purchase of any other item on the menu.

Charley’s: Anyone who visits a Charley’s location on July 13 can get original fries for just $1.

Checkers/Rally’s: From July 14-16, Checkers and Rally’s Rewards Members can get a free Fry Lover’s XL. Plus, members can also get $1 Famous Seasoned Fries of any size at company-owned locations from July 24 to August 6.

McDonald’s: McDonald’s is giving away free fries of any size all day Thursday, July 13, with no purchase necessary. Customers must place orders for the fries using the McDonald’s app.

Smashburger: Get free Smashfries, french fries or sweet potato fries with any purchase on July 13. This deal can be redeemed in-store or on the website/app with the code FRIES.

Sonic: The fast-food chain is offering free medium tots or fries with any in-app purchase. One redemption per app user.

Wendy’s: Get a free any-size fry or seasoned breakfast potatoes with any in-app purchase from July 13 to July 16. Offer valid one time only. Plus, Wendy’s is teaming up with GrubHub to give customers a free Frosty with any purchase of a small fry from July 13 to July 16 for all GrubHub and Seamless orders.

White Castle: Customers can buy one, get one small fry free with this coupon on July 13.
