Tax Free Weekend Dates 2023

Get ready to save on school supplies with this year’s back-to-school tax-free weekends!

Select states (see the list below) offer Sales Tax “Holiday” weekends during the summer, which allows shoppers to save money on their back-to-school shopping for clothing, footwear, school supplies, computers, and other items by not having to pay sales tax.

Amazon, Walmart, Target, and many other large online retailers participate in Tax-Free Holidays too, which means that you can do your shopping from home without adding sales tax too! 🙌

The Back-To-School Sales Tax Holiday begins at 12:01 a.m. on the third Friday in July and ends at midnight on the following Sunday, pursuant to §40-23-210 to §40-23-213, Code of Alabama 1975
