Free Wedding Gowns for Military & First Responder Brides

Hey friends!

I stumbled upon this article and I just had to share it with you! So I know the majority of weddings are held in the spring or in the summer and the cost of having a wedding can be VERY expensive but the most important thing that you gotta have is the dress!

Dresses can be rather expensive especially if you are wanting a designer dress. Brides Across America (BAA) has helped thousands of brides to be find their dresses. The best part is they’re FREE! So I know what your thinking. What’s the catch? There is a $75 tax-deductible donation required when registering for the event. The donation covers administrative costs associated with running the event. Brides Across America is a 501(C)(3) non-profit organization.

So who are BAA? Brides Across America (BAA) is a non-profit committed to loving one another by gifting weddings and wedding gowns to our military & first responders.

Who Qualifies? If you are a military bride/first responder (or the fiancé of a military member or first responder), you must pre-register and visit one of the participating salons with proof of deployment (Please see ID requirements) to select a wedding gown.

Note: We accept submarine, special operations and Navy orders.

Are you engaged and planning a wedding within the next 18 months?

You qualify!

  1. Are you or your fiancé in the military either on active duty, or a veteran within the past 5 years?
    You qualify!

  2. Are you or your fiancé a first responder in the front line of harm's way? We appreciate everyone's service who supports and protects our communities which includes:
    - EMT/Paramedics
    - Firefighters
    - Police Officers
    - Correctional Officers
    If you or your fiancé are working as any of these types of first responders, you qualify!
    All first responders must provide us with a valid work ID or an official letter of service.

  3. Are you a hospital employed bride to be who has assisted in the COVID-19 pandemic?
    You will need to show a valid ID and provide valid documentation of employment. We appreciate everyone in the community that has shown support. Here is the list who qualifies for the program:
    - Covid nurses
    - Covid doctors
    - Covid patient care technician

If you answer 'Yes' to 1, and you also answer 'Yes' to criteria 2, 3 or 4 above, you qualify.
